A report your doctor can act on.

Months of attacks become one thorough report, detailed enough that a neurologist can sit with it and start looking for what is actually setting yours off. It includes your MIDAS score. MIDAS is the standard Migraine Disability Assessment: it turns how much migraine disrupts your life into one number, graded I to IV, little-to-none up through severe, that your doctor already recognizes. You walk in with something real to show, instead of trying to remember it all from the exam chair.

  • Every attack in detail: when it started, how long it lasted, how bad it got, where it hurt, what helped.
  • Your MIDAS disability score, calculated and explained.
  • Your attacks lined up against pressure, weather, and your cycle.

Why this exists

“I built Migraine Decoder because I get migraine attacks and I was tired of walking into my doctor’s appointments with no real data. I wanted to figure out my patterns and log everything fast, so I could make decisions about my own care.”

David, founder of Migraine Decoder

I tried the other apps first.

I tried the other trackers before I built this one. Every attack meant tapping through screen after screen while my head was splitting, which is the worst possible time to fill out a form. But the tapping wasn’t even the worst part. After all that logging, when I finally wanted to see my own patterns, or hand a clean summary to my doctor, my data was buried behind menus or locked behind a paywall. The one thing I needed most was the hardest to reach. So I built the opposite: log an attack in a handful of taps, and treat getting to your data as the whole point, not the thing held hostage.

Log an attack before it takes over.

A few taps, even with no Wi-Fi or cell signal, and you are done. When your head is splitting, the last thing you want is a form.

Screens from the app in active development. Details may shift before launch as we refine it with founding members.

See your patterns.

No predictions, no promises. Just the real connections already sitting in your own attacks.

Answer a few questions. We do the math.

A MIDAS score answers one question in a number: how much is migraine actually costing you? MIDAS, the Migraine Disability Assessment, is a short, validated questionnaire developed by Stewart and Lipton and used in headache clinics and migraine research worldwide. You answer a few quick questions about how migraine has hit your work or school, home, and social life. Migraine Decoder scores them and explains, in plain language, what your disability grade actually means.

The clinical report

Months of attacks become one thorough report your doctor can work from, MIDAS score included.

Attacks against the pressure

See each attack sitting on the barometric pressure line, with the days ahead too, so you can tell when your body is reacting to the weather.

Your cycle, in the picture

Log your menstrual cycle too, and see how your attacks line up with it. Most trackers skip this completely.

Questions, answered.

What is Migraine Decoder?

Migraine Decoder is a migraine-tracking app. You log your attacks, it lines them up against things like barometric pressure, your cycle, and the weather, and it builds a report your doctor can use. It also calculates your MIDAS disability score.

What is a MIDAS score?

MIDAS, the Migraine Disability Assessment, is a short, validated questionnaire developed by Stewart and Lipton and used in headache clinics worldwide. It asks how many days over the last three months migraine limited your work or school, household work, and family or social activities, then maps your answers to a disability grade from I (little to none) to IV (severe). It gives you and your doctor an objective number to start from instead of a guess. Migraine Decoder scores it for you and explains what your grade means.

What do I get right now?

A founding seat: lifetime access at your founding-tier price. The app is in final pre-launch. Once the app is live, you sign in with your email on any device. That's it.

When does it launch?

We launch when the app is ready, and we are not naming a date we cannot promise. Claim a founding seat now and you are refundable in full any time before launch.

Does it predict my migraine attacks?

No. Migraine Decoder helps you see the patterns in your own attacks against pressure, weather, and your cycle. You draw the conclusions, with your doctor.

Will my purchase survive a new phone?

Yes. Your seat follows your email address, not the device. Sign in on any phone and it's there.

Can I just log for free?

Yes. Logging attacks is free. The clinical report and export are the paid features a founding seat unlocks for life.

How do refunds work?

Two ways. Any time before launch, request a full refund and your seat is released, no questions. And for fourteen days after launch, try the app and get your money back if it is not for you. To request one, reply to your receipt email with the word refund, or email david@setu.dev from the address on your account.

You are not the only one decoding this.

After launch, we are opening a place to talk with other people who get migraines: what has actually helped them, what has not, and the kind of support that only comes from someone who gets it. It is not here yet, but it is coming.
